You can probably go through the back seat, after removing it and remove the lock cylinder and open it manually from inside the trunk. Take a flashlight, flat screwdrive, and needle nose pliers with you. To remove the lock cylinder you will have to remove a spring clip that holds it in place from the inside with the pliers. Hope this helps, Tom

bad after 23 years

Trunk wont open unless someones pressing the button and someones pulling up on the trunk

maybe the locking mechanism which latches the trunk closed needs to be adjusted a little more loosly (move the latch so that it engages sooner as you close the trunk) - do this by loosening 2-3 bolts to move the latch.

My trunk wont open by pulling the floor board lever or by using the key manauly how can i open the trunk.

Hi Sparklen,You'll need to look at the end of the cable close to the release lever and pull the broken cable with pliers, that should do the job. Once open, trace the routing and replace the cable. Regards Johngee10

My trunk will not close

There is a possibility that the remote latch cable is stuck (lubrication is gone) . With a screwdriver, NOT the fingers, try to return manually the latch, to its open position (instead of the pull open position). If you push it too far, it will go into locked position, and when you pull down the trunk lid, it wont reach its normal closed position. In that case, pull the latch back open, with the remote lever. Should you manage to close the trunk properly, spray some WD40 or some lubricant on the latch assembly.

Trunk is broken.

With the trunk open try putting the key in and turning so that the latch swings open. This may be the problem. The latch may be stuck closed. with the key turned make sure the latch is open if it is not then take a scrwedriver and pry on the latch with the key turned to open it. Then try to close the trunk. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer. thanks.
