1986 flooding bad raw fuel

My 86 ford dided and would not restart just before plowing my driveway in -35 deg weather made for a great time anyway i towed it into gurage and noticed that i had barely a trickle of gas coming out of the fuel presure schrader valve and put a new pressure pump in line and checked the draw pump from the rear tank and it was pushing fuel ok then went to restart and found my plugs were flooded so i put a new set in and it ran but was running very rich and missing bad it is running so poor i cant be near it or my eyes burn. i ohmed the injectors and they all are the same or very close.i am still leaning to an injector wide open any ideas

First try the fuel regulator make sure it isn't leaking and dumping fuel through the vacuum line. it is on the fuel rail near the rear of the engine. Also make sure the ground cable from the battery to the engine block is nice and tight this will cause a flooding condition

1993 pontiac grand prix 3.1 le stalls at normal driving speed and is hard to restart.After it restarts I can hold the gas down and put it gear and take off.It runs great with accellerator opened up wide.

that is flooding, (lots of causes that)
that throttle hold down is in the operators guide, called WOT unflood mode. it cut fuel 100% it starts via, excess fuel, in engine.
clears then starts and runs.
ever do a full tuneup?
Flooding. (engine good)
bad spark. Cold starts need perfect spark , unlike a hot engine.
so tune up time, for most cars 60,000 miles, some need sparks
every 39k (RTM read the manual in glove box,) it tells you.
as does the FSM state this, and how.
If flooding is not tune up related, then it is>
1: leaking injectors.
2: too high fuel pressure.
3: bad inputs to the PCM (like ECT reads too low temp) scan IT.
4: ISC stuck closed ,staring, the engine of air as start.
to test this #4 theory, (told in newer car operators guides) is to
start car with 10% throttle , start now? that may prove ISC stuck closed.

ever examine spark plugs, they speak volumn's.
these are new plugs, and are soaking in raw fuel.
on old plugs. its hopeless. (even weaker spark)
we use tools to find cause, got tools?

I have a 86 fifth ave and it runs great except its sluggish off the line, I am a mechanic but this one has me stumped, any ideas?also I can smell gas when at idle

SSounds to me that the timing is off. The timing recomended by Chrysler is 7 deg. Aadvanced. The EEC will do the rest.

Truck is fuel injected but you have to spin it

mcdevito75 here, It"s possible but not to the extent the old carbureted engines would flood, Best bet is ti look for a sale some shops run on checking the fuel system, Sears, Pepboys etc.

86 f150 runs fine until hot then acts like running out of fuel

Had same problem.Floats in carby where sticking and flooding second stage.
Cleaned and reset levels.

I have an 86 t bird

Have you had the alternator checked? I had a tbird doing something similar and it turned out the alternator went bad on me.
