can't find anything wrong with connections and all fuses are good but windows and locks and mirrors aren't working

  • hninja98 Dec 30, 2008

None of the electronics on the door panels are opperating i.e windows, door locks, mirror controls, seat settings. Overhead lamp stays on until manually turned off and door sensor does not recognize door being shut. All fuses located under the dash are good.

Power windows worked in varying driver side door positions, sometimes normally! Suspected broken wire in door A pillar harness! found a blk/wht wire coming from door but no corolary coming from A pillar. The wire doesn't seem heavy enough to carry power to the master switch. I have no schematic or color code for that harness! Replaced circuit braker in fuse panel, could find no #13 fuse position! Book says #13 fuse in power distribution center! (I can't find it either!) Am I crazy or just old and stupid?

Now, No windows work! Door panel is off! 200K+ miles and everything else works except the security system sometimes!

I need a diagram so i can replace right side elec. window unit

You must have the replacement window mechanism before you attempt to take off the door panel. You don't want double the work ! Window winder mechanisms come with or without motors depending on your needs ! It can be tricky but perfectly possible by a confident DIY'r.The door panel has pop fasteners and 2/3 screw/bolts in the door pull/inner handle.

2003 bravada heated seats and elec. windows don't work after improper hookup of jumper cables. What to check ?

Find the drivers door module and the memory seat module. All the orange wires should have power to them. If they don't than you need to go back and check the fuses. The LGM/DSM and DDM fuse for sure in the rear fuse block.

Since nothing is working I suspect that the modules may have shut down. Since they communicate with each other it would probably be a good start to scan these with a multi-function scan tool to 1. see if there are codes and clear them and 2. to see if they are still capable of communication.

There will likely be codes stored in every module. Clearing all of the codes would be a good start.

Volvo v40 (estate) same as s40 1997 2 litre

This sounds to me like you may have a bad master switch. Everything with the windows goes back to the master switch before it will work.

Non of elec windows are working

If you know where the central fuse box is located, check inside the removable cover; they often have the fuse locations named and shown there.
