Question about 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
I have this same problem but this happened when it wasn't cold outside. It happened to me while i was driving from work to home. Reduced Engine Power light came on then it slowed down to maybe 10 miles per hour. But the RMP gauge stayed reved up and wouldn't come down. As soon as i disconnected some wires in the front of the truck it ran greater then usual. It also happened to me on a road trip from Tenn. to Texas on a very hot summer day. They said I may need to replace the electrical harness unit? Not sure what's what or even what I'm supposed to agree to when it comes to getting something fixed. Any suggestions, are welcomed

SOURCE: 2002 reduced engine power light
You have some kind of ECU problem. You will need to hook to the diagnostic port to find the problem. Your vehicle has gone into limp mode. This enables the vehicle to run, but at a diminished level until you can seek help for the problem. Do not continue to drive it this way as you may cause damage to the engine depending on the nature of the problem.
