Question about 1998 Jeep Cherokee

1994 jeep cherokee heater resistor, where is it located?

I have a 94 cherokee & would like to know where that resistor would be, to find & fix it. My motor runs on high only and just did this, but after on your site i found what it is motor or what was going on. I can't thank you enough for your time and site!!

This resistor will be locate on the box that the blower is in most likely and should have a couple of screws and 4-5 wires that plug into it. I sorry I can't give you specifics but hope this helps

Our 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee's heater/air


My fan was stuck on low. I looked at the control module in the dash. Some of the contacts had over heated and melted part of the module. Our dealer said it was a $300 fix.

I would try to replace the blower motor resistor first,If that doesnt repair your problem you may wanna try replacing the blower speed switch.The resistor is located under the passenger side of the dash mounted in the heater box.

Engine compartment, left inside fender, it white, ceramic made two inches by 3/4" bolted to fender wall

A/c heater fan no blow


sounds to me like the blower motor resistor, and if I'm not mistaken the resistor and the blower motor are located under the dash on the passengers side. the resistor should have a wiring connection and 2 screws attaching it to the blower case. The a/c and heater blower will not work if the resistor goes out. hope this helps you out a little. Best wishes.

no it wont work.they made too many changes with them about 2 years older and id say yes but no they wont interchange
