If you have never replaced a head gasket before the best advice I can give is leave it to a professional, as on modern vehicles there are a number of electrical, emissions, and vacuum connections that can and will cause very serious problems if not disconnected or reconnected properly.

If you feel the need to replace it yourself it's essentially10 steps.

KEEP ALL FASTENERS, AND WIRING HARNESSES ORGANIZED

remove the upper fan shroud
remove the serpentine belt, fan and pulley
loosen and remove the alternator
remove the air cleaner assembly up to the throttle body
remove the upper radiator hose, thermostat, and housing loosen and remove the heater hose
remove all electrical connections from the upper intake, then remove the fuel lines from the lower intake. Good luck with the rear fuel connection as it is snug against the block and the firewall
loosen and remove the heater hose bracket on the intake manifold
remove the intake manifold
remove the remaining bolts from the accessory bracket on the front of the engine and set the A/C compressor and PS pump aside (DO NOT DISCONNECT HOSES)
remove the oil dipstick/filler tube bracket and pull it out
disconnect exhaust manifold from exhaust down pipe
remove exhaust manifold nuts, then remove exhaust manifold
compress and remove rocker arms and push rods (KEEP IN ORDER)
remove head bolts
Remove head without prying between head and block
Send head out for machining or replace with new head

Installation in reverse of removal

Hope this helps

I have a Choc milkshake in the sump. Just got a head gasket kit for the liberty 1990 2.2Ltr manual. Where can i get step by step instructions to replace head gasket only. Overhead cam looks scary, give me...

Maybe a haynes manual. I think they are garbage but may help a beginer. The old Chilton's (with the 'S, Chilton without the 'S is a haynes on the inside) were really good. Unfortunaly they are printed by haynes now and are the very same thing on the inside.

You might search Lloyd's auto literature. They may have a factory reproduction and are fairly inexpensive.
You could also try autozone.com or the Alldata service that they market (may be AlldataDIY.com). You can buy a years online subscription to the data Alldata has to offer.
At one time Chilton's (the real Chilton's and not the fake Chilton/haynes) was putting them on CD. You might do a search for those. Amazon.com is at times a good place to look for manuals.

NEED INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO FIX HEAD GASKET

You can purchase one at an autoparts store for about $20 - $25 or on ebay for $10. A haynes or chilton manual will give you step by step instructions. If you've never done this before you are looking at about 2 - 4 days of work and make sure to GET THE HEAD(S) RESURFACED. Don't try to save money by skipping this step doing so will make you do the whole thing over again.

if it turns over and wont start, could be a few things start with putting some starter fluid in throttle body that will tell you if its not getting gas if it starts. you can pull a spark plug and stick plug on the plug wire and have someone crank it you should see spark iv seen a lot of worn out spark plugs these should be changed every 30000 miles if the plug gap is to big itll never start. and lastly the timming belt could be broke pull back the cover and look at it good luck hope u aint outside

Blown head gasket

That would be a lot to type out on the computer.
My best advise would be to get a Chilton Manual at the autoparts store. It cost about $20. You'll get all the info you need plus pictures and diagrams. The Chilton book will be the best research material for the type of job you are going to do.
