Question about 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis

My vehicle dies everytime I turn it off...

When I shut my car off the battery seems to die... No lights come on and there is a strange clicking almost like an interference in the radio. Mind you the clicking is after the battery seems to be dead and wont start without a jump. I opened my glove box cause it sounded as though it was coming from there and my glovebox light was flickering... I took the ****** out but the clicking is still there it gets louder if I play with the door locks it shuts off when I turn the key, play with the sideview mirror button, lighter, ect. Numerous things shut it off and on. I had my remote starter taken out and it ran mint started every timefor two days and then started up again. A few times I jumped it I stepped on the break to reverse and it stalled out having to jump it again. As soon as the cables are connected it starts it doesnt even need to sit. It recently started stalling at red lights.Im freaking out I love my car it has only 90000 miles on it.

How old is your battery, have you tried a new one?Sometimes a really stuffed battery also interferes with the ECU,and can result in switching things on and off.

What to look for? why is this electrical system malfuntioning?

Well that kind of sounds like a bad connection, but it was difficult understanding with no good punctuation... Have you checked the battery terminals? If not, do so, and have your alternator checked too. I've seen some really goofy stuff happen when some vehicles don't get enough power.

Electical failure

What you have written seems strange. I understand that the vehicle stopped with ALL ELECTRICAL... This is a broke wire, Grounded to the Chassis, When you tried to Jump Start it, WHAT got HOT? Did you cross the Leads? I would be looking at the Wiring for where the Positive is now grounding out.

Interior light fell off, battery keeps dying

The light could still be running even while vehicle is off. My friend had the same problem on a chevy. Find the fuse to the light, take it out when you turn your car off. That will keep it from dying. Then get the light fixed. Until then, you will have the problem..

Charging system problem. Have a qualified Hyundai Service Technician properly diagnose
your vehicle.

Sounds like your alterator has malfunctioned and is not charging the battery or providing electrical energy to the vehicle.

From what you describe, it sounds like your alternator died. The battery's main function is to provide power to start the vehicle. Once started, the alternator takes over and provides the main source of power to the truck, and also recharges the battery.
When the alternator stops working, the car starts to run solely off the battery. It will work for a little while, but as the battery starts to lose power, strange things will happen with the electronics. The computers and other electronics that control the vehicle are very dependent on a constant, steady flow of voltage. When that voltage dips below 11 or 10 volts, the car may start to run badly or strange things may happen with electrical system.
When there was finally not enough power to keep the car running, it shut off. Of course, once this happens, there will not be enough power left to start the truck back up.

Is that capacitor wired in such a way that it could be feeding back? I'd remove it for a while & see what happens.Hopefully some damage hasn't already been done, if that was the cause.
