A 2000 Land Rover Discovery's internal brake light indicator is flashing from time to time or staying on and wondering if the brake fluid level is ok then could it be the brake light switch needs replacing...

well, yes it could mean the fluid is low,why dont you check it.If u need help for this go no further with your own repair inquiries.. another common thing is sticky rear parking brake cables if u have drum brakes on the rear

Cavalier master cylinder

You have air in your system, you need a helper to bleed the air out. The master cylinder is what ur brake fluid resivore is sitting on, the large round object behind it is the brake booster (looks like a squished basket ball) these will be on the fire wall driverside

Front and rear drum brakes, the pads are ok, but the brake pedal started going to the floor. When I tried to bleed them, the rear bleeder screws broke. So I replaced both wheel cylinders. The rubber...

OK........as you have stated that you have bled the brakes properly.....was there fluid coming out each bleed nipple as a flowing stream...????

And did you shut off the bleed nipple half way down stroke....?????

If this is all ok, then I would be looking at a failed master cylinder.......and what is occurring is the fluid is leaking from the primary to the secondary within the master cylinder !!!!!

'92 Toyota Landcruiser 80 series- brake light came on in the instrument panel and remains on all the time. Brakes working ok. What's the cure?

You say the brakes work fine, so lets start with the e-brake switch, make sure swith is working and ebrake is all the way off, the next thing is the sensor in the mastercylinder, is the brake fluid low or is the sensor working, with this sensor and the ebrake sensor try unplugging and see if light goes out, start with these things first, also there are no brake fluid leaks on the ground, this would cause the poprotioning valve to turn the light on also, but lets start with the other things first. hope this helps.

Brake fluid leaking inside car onto floor mat.

Bad Master Cylinder and or Power Brake Booster would be the first things to check.. look for signs of a leak under the hood first, monitor brake performance!!

Losing brake fluid slowly but its not leaking at the caliper.dont think its from pad wear.dont see any stains.where could it be going?

If there isn.t any leaks along the brake lines, or at any of the wheels, look under the brake master cylinder, it's bolted to the booster, ( that big black round thing) and see if it is wet right under it. if it is wet, the master cylinder is leaking, and needs replacing. The o-rings on the piston in it are probably worn, and when you put your foot on the brake, the fluid is seeping by them and leaking at the end, but not very much.

I have a problem with my brakes, it's not the brakes or rotors. just sometimes the brakes go to the floor and dont stop, and other times they are amazing, sometimes even touchy. What could be my problem?

Could be two things:

Most likely master cylinder piston leak.
Rebuild / replace master cylinder ($80)

Otherwise there may be air in the brake system.
Bleed brake system ($20)

Might want to bleed first ... see what other experts recommend.

ABS and BRAKE light at the same time

push the pedal and see if it goes to the floor slowly or fast, if so,some thing like this i would lay on the ground in the back and have some one push the pedlal and hold it, look for fluid, like wet spot near the wheels first ( i have seen wheel cylinder go bad but not leak alot at one time so keep that in mind too) and make your way to the front on the driver side inside of the fram.i dont think its the master cylinder but see if you can see a wet spot at the bottom of the master and the booster( i seen masters not leak as will )

leaks will make the ABS lite come on
