2001 Oldsmobile Alero Door Chime fuse

I recently blew like 4 fuses installing a new stereo. I checked them all and replaced the blown ones i could find. I looked in all 3 fuse boxes. However, the door chime still doesn't sound when I have the door open and the keys are in. Anyone know which fuse it's associated with in the case that i missed one?

okay you need a circuit tester to properly test the fuse should be inside car might be a 5 amp????your description on panel door should detail this good luck question perhaps a wire is shorted out??

if i was installing that stereo i would do as follows to avoid any more SMOKEY problems, if it was a sony deck i would go to car audio shop request a dedicated Sony to Oldsmobile harness plug in to deck then plug straight in to factory harness it is worth the $15-20 bucks to do it right,if you have already butchered the harness good luck and discard my request.John

You most likely blew the fuse. Locate the fuse box, and check the fuses. Replace any that are blown.

have you checked to see if there is another fuse box under the dash on the drivers side it is not uncommon to have two fuse box locations.

How do you check fuse in the back of the radio?

1.Turn off the vehicle. Locate the main fuse box.
2.Locate a fuse box that isn't under the dashboard by checking under the hood of the car.
3.Look at the diagram on the inside of the fuse box's cover.
4.Determine if the fuse is blown by looking through the clear plastic casing.
5.Take the blown fuse to an electronics store or a car-parts store.Push the new fuse into the empty slot in the fuse box, making sure that it is in the same direction as the other fuses. It should slide in with a tight fit.Replace the fuse-box cover.
6.Complete the above steps before removing the car radio.Disconnect the car battery under the hood by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal (the black cable) of the battery. Remove the dash area around the car radio.Unscrew the four screws on each corner of the car stereo.Locate the fuse on the back of the car radio.

7.Take the blown fuse to a car-parts store or electronics store to find a replacement fuse. Place the new fuse into the car radio.lide the car radio back into the dash opening. Replace the corner screws followed by the dash trim panels. Put any screws and clips back into place.Reconnect the car battery. Turn the car on, and if the blown fuse was the problem, the radio should work.

I was putting a new radio in my car, wires touched and shorted and blew a fuse,i replaced fuse but now my car wont start.Ignition was on when fuse blew

Hi, check the remainder of the fuse's chances are you have blown more than one fuse, if they are all ok then you may have blown one of the main fuse's which are located in a fuse box in the engine compartment.

Blown stero fuse Hyundai Elantra 2008

Hello Friend, If you checked all your fuses in the fuse panel box, maybe your stereo has an inline fuse that blew out. Sometimes there is a fuse in the back of stereo cabinet. remove from dash and check. Happy to help, Tim. Thanks

More likely that the solenoid in the transmission is shorted to ground. Has any new electronic equipment been installed recently, like stereo, alarm, etc?
