Question about Buick Regal
You don't have to break the windows--you just need 45 minutes, a lot of patience, and a lot of wires, long flat objects (like yardsticks), shims, crowbars, and 2 people.
Same thing happened on my 88 Regal. We levered open the top of the doors on both sides, used shims to keep the micro-space open, and managed to "hook" the interior door handle of one door from the other side of the car using the wires. The flat long objects are necessary on the interior door handle side to help manuver the hook into place on the latch. Then, with one person pulling the wire to actuate the interior latch, the other person had to be on that side to pull open the door.
This is the SECOND time in two years I've had to replace BOTH of the interior mechanisms for the outer door handles. Is this normal, or did Buick screw up with this part?

Oh boy! You'll unfortunately have to "break in" on this one, then figure what you'll need from your local dealer to get these doors working again. Sorry....accordianman
