Question about 1994 Ford Explorer Limited
Out of no were my ford explorer doesnt want to shift than once it warms up its fine??????? y???????????
Sounds like the governor valve is sticking. The governor is on the output shaft. If this is a 4x4, the transfer case has to be removed to get to it. If it's a 2wd, the extension housing has to be removed to get to it. The valve is located in the governor body. It's aluminum & is bolted to the collector. You'll have to unbolt the gov body & clean it in solvent to make sure the valve moves freely in it's bore.
