How turn off the odometer light after oil change?

this took me sometime to figure out. but you have to turn the key almost to the on position, (one click before starting) and at the same time you press and hold the mileage reset button on the gauge for about 5-10 seconds.. you will see some lines appear when 5 small lines appear.. bam your done, turn key back and then start car,

Electrical maybe

You did not give the year and model, but generally I would start with the key switch. The switch controls everything you mentioned.

2006 toyota corolla maint. required light stays on. How do I make it go out after maint.

turn the key on. press the odometer/trip button until the odometer is displayed. turn the key off. press and hold the odometer button and turn the key to the run position (do not start). The odometer should change from a number to all dashes ( - - - - - - ). One by one the dashes will disappear then the display will change to all zeros and then will change to the regular odometer reading. Once the regular odometer is displayed let go of the button and turn the key off. The maintenance light will now be reset.

How doI reset the maint reqd light?

This should take care of it for you...

1. With your car OFF, place your key in the ignition and turn to "On". Do not start the car.
2. Find the odometer button and press until it reads the total odometer setting, (not the Trip A or Trip B setting).
3. Turn the key to OFF.
4. Place your finger back on the odometer button, press and hold. At the same time, turn the key back to "On".
5. Hold the odometer button in until the MAINT REQD light goes out...should take about 8-10 seconds.

The car wont start and th theft light is flirking on the odometer and there is a flirking noise by the fuse box

To start the engine you have to turn this light off. Locking the car and opening the drive's door with key sometime help. Disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes might clear the code. If all these won't work then you need to scan the codes with a good scanner. Hope this might help.

Odometer issue and not turning over

This seems to be a faulty ground. Start looking in places exposed to the weather. Sometimes you can find a bad ground by checking for warmth at the connection. Be sure everything is turned on. Frankster016
