Tranny wont shift into fifth gear.

I recently changed the clutch in my 2000 ford focus. And now when i shift to fifth gear it grinds and wont go into gear very easy. I have to keep shoving the shifter into gear until it finally pops in. Then it works fine. Can you help me?

You could retry bleed clutch slave cylinder, should really replace these when replacing clutch if high mileage or it might be fifth gear ring gear broken or worn looking at gearbox strip or new gearbox i would try rebleeding clutch might have small airlock in it.

When stopped gears sometime grind when shifting into 1st gear(2001 Ford Focus)

Then the clutch is not releasing properly & the continual
grinding will wear the gear teeth & you may also have worn
syncros, that will require you to pull the trans & go thru it, as well
as do a clutch replacement

As I would drive the 2000 ford focus I'm not sure if it was the clutch or the transmission but its like the car would go to a lower gear for a minute and then catch back up. Then I happened to be driving...

I believe it's your clutch. If you can shift gears okay with the engine off, but you cannot shift gears with the engine running, (the gear shifter only grinds when trying to shift into first?) then your clutch has worn out.
To replace a clutch, the transaxle has to be first removed from the car. I'm afraid you will have to have it towed to a shop or garage.

NO GEARS ON 04 REG MANUAL FOCUS

If it's what I think it is...the same use to happen to me with the car you see posted here. The gear box sometimes gets stuck in two gears at once causing the problem you describe. I had to get under vehicle and shift one of the gears on tranny itself to an other position to unlock. I think this was happening to me because I would take shortcuts in shifting like going from 2nd to 4th. Hope this helps you out.
