IT started last night when i cranked it to go home. My ERG valve I know is going bad but the check engine light just stayed on. Now it is flashing and the car is running really rough. Just got an oil change so that is not an issue... Please help. Dont have the money to bring it to a garage at the moment.

If your check engine light comes on get it checked. To me it sounds like an engine misfire probably cause by a coil pack or spark plug wire going bad. The misfire should cause the check engine light to come on maybe even flash if the misfire is bad enough
misfire can be caused by a few things. weak spark, low fuel pressure, to much fuel, vaccum leak. a simple check on this engine is to remove vaccum line from fuel pressure regulator, on fuel rail, driver side of engine. if you crank engine, and fuel leaks out vaccum port on regulator, its ruptured and causing rich fuel mixture. try that and let me know.
Sounds like you need a new ERG valve and/or ERG sensor. It supplys oxygen to balance the amount of the gasoline and oxygen your engine recieves if the balance is off it can make a car do what yours is doing .If you can drive your car over to a auto parts store in your area and they should have a code reader to test your car for free.
