    the wire that always has power even with no key.

    yes the stereo nothing will stay programed and i cant use the electric locks when car is off.

    I'm still unsure of what wire you are asking about but if you take a test light and with the key off check the wires that you want to know about you can tell the one that has power with the key off cause the light will light up.

Assume the memory wire for teh radio ??? use a test meter to find a permanant 12v feed or run one from the fuse panel for radio memory

if it was as simple as cutting one wire,the car thieves would only steal dodge caravans.....it is not a simple job as the computer has most of the sensors hardwired into it.....please get hold of a wiring diagram and see for yourself.

2000 dodge caravan engine and transmission swap


Although the transmission may be siilar, the engine and supporting wiring harness, and control modules are not. This can be done, anything can, but it is probably more trouble than it's worth for a mini van. If this was a classic car then sure.

if you have the connector and are trying to determine which is which... use a multimeter to test for voltage. the memory wire will have power to it regardless if the key is on or not.
