Question about 1998 Chevrolet K1500
After several tries at shifting to four wheel drive, it won't stay engaged. the indicater light comes on then quickly goes out.
I had the same problem with my 98 z71, I put the floor shifter in neutral, and let the truck roll backwards a little bit, BE CAREFUL, with the floor shifter in neutral the truck will roll, regardless if the shifter on the steering column is in Park, use caution, make sure there is no one around your truck and you are inside of it and out of the path of doors and tires,
