Suzuki samurai my 1991 suzuki samurai is not getting any spark i got fuel and air but i am not getting any spark to the plugs what can be the problem

Look at the timing belt and make sure it is on and tight. Then maybe pull the distributor and make sure it isn't bad

    don't pull the distributor unless it is not turning. Check the electronic ignition module and replace if bad. If that doesn't do it, replace the coil

No spark on 91 Suzuki Samurai


If you are getting power to the distributor cap but not from there to the leads/ plugs! It must be within the distributor! Does it have a condenser in the distributor?

I think there is bad gas getting to the carburetor.


still stock with stock carb? or it EFI.?
some are. newer.
no matter all gas motors same.
1: compression bad, (timing belt to cam bad)
2: no spark (or timed wrong ) you did only 1 of 2 tests.
3: bad fueling. try test fuel
1,,2 3, in that order or go crazy chasing tail. .

1989 suzuki samurai won't fire has a 1990 Geo tracker motor fuel injected 1.6 8 vaulve.


Check if you are getting spark in your plugs. if there's a spark, check the fuel pressure.Your pump might not be delivering the required pressure and volume.
If there's no spark, check your ignition system components.

think u need a carburator cleaning or fuel inject treatment dont buy that **** in discount that u dump in the tank have it done by pros. with the carb u can spray it but u probly need to take apart and set it in methl Choride also inspect all hoses and external parts

Ignition control module within distributor could be bad resulting in no spark or could be the main ignition module

Won't start


try and run compression tests on the cylinders..other than that its really hard to say if you have got air, fuel and spark..it should work

Check ECM (engine computer) located under glove box. Injector circuit output probably dead. Replace ECM. Go to Searchparts.com for best price.
