lexus is the snob market for toyota cars ( toyota luxury division cars )
knowing that, there is every possibility that a large amount of toyota spares will be used in the lexus
you may have to invest time in the wreckers comparing parts to get what fits
if it is possible to get a parts catalogue for both cars , there may be part numbers that will interchange

Hi, What does problem code B0116 mean. Its a lexus ES300 1999

ect fault engine coolant temperature sensor circuit range/performance fault. you need a new ect sensor.if you want to test is with a ohm meter here is specs starts at 30k ohms at -4 degrees it will goto 0.2k ohms at 212 degrees F so the hotter it gets the less resistances it gets. it is like 15-31 bucks at local parts store and no hard to change.

Where do I find the ETC PWR switch on a 2008 Lexus IS250 AWD?

On North American IS250 it is to the right of the steering wheel below the ignition button. There should be two switches ECT and TRAC side by side

I have a 1996 L400. There is a switch ECT PWR. What is it for? What does it do? When should I use it?

Hi there;
The ECT PWR switch. ECT stands for Electronicaly controled transmission. This switch controls the shift pattern of the transmission. In the PWR possition it will delay the shifts somewhat to give your car more power.
You would use this if you are in a possition where you need to accerate quickly from a light or to pass someone & need more power.

I hope this helps

ECT Switch

Hi, the switch simply tells the vehicle's computer to make the throttle a bit more sensitive and make the transmission shifts a bit crisper and changes the shift points slightly. It's for better performance.
