    Lane Dion Mar 11, 2018

I had the same trouble codes .. the E40 is power steering related and has to do with the pressure switch on the rack and pinion ... E52 is the computers memory ... usually caused by a battery disconnect ...There is no code E95 ... at least in the Cadillac Factory Manual ...

SOURCE: 1993 Cadillac Deville Phantom Codes

ECM Output Cycling

This mode can be initiated after "E.9.5" is displayed on the "Fuel Data Center". The display of the "E.9.5" can be reached by depressing the Hi button while Code ".7.0" is displayed. The ECM output cycling mode, Code "E.9.6." turns the ECM's outputs on and off. To enter the output cycling mode, proceed as follows;

The engine must be running.

Turn the cruise instrument panel switch to the on position so that the cruise control outputs will cycle.

Turn the engine off and within two seconds, turn the ignition on.

Enter the diagnostics and display Code "E.9.5".

Depress the accelerator pedal (throttle switch open) and release it (throttle switch closed). The ECM output cycling mode begins as the display switches from Code "E.9.5" to Code "E.9.6."

It is possible to leave the ECM output cycling mode at any time and return to ".7.0" by clearing the ECM and BCM codes. If the display does not advance to Code "E.9.6", refer to Code "E.7.2" of the switch test.

The output cycling mode will end automatically after two minutes of cycling and the display will switch from Code "E.9.6" to Code "E.9.5".

The outputs will cycle on and off every three seconds until the two minute automatic shut off occurs. The only exception to this three second cycle is the cruise control power valve which cycles continuously. If additional output cycling is desired, recycle the throttle switch.

SOURCE: service engine soon light on

E40 is a problem with the Power Steering Pressure switch. Most probable cause is that if work was recently done, someone forgot to put the wiring harness back on the pressure switch. The pressure switch is usually mounted on the high pressure line. It looks similar to an oil pressure switch. If the wiring is correctly installed, the switch is probably bad (assuming that your power steering works).

E52 is a PCM (engine computer) memory reset code. Have you disconnected the battery of late? If not, check all your fuses. One of the fuses for the PCM may have blown.

SOURCE: neutral switch 1993 cadillac

The neutral safety switch is on the top of the automatic transaxle (under the hood). You have to remove the air cleaner assembly for access to this item. Once the air cleaner is off, you can see the switch mounted on top of the transaxle.
Remove the shift linkage, electrical connectors and vacuum hose as needed.
Remove fuel line bracket if needed.
Remove mounting bolts and nuts to remove the old switch.

Install new switch as reverse of above.
Put shift lever in neutral.
Align switch so it's alignment hole and the matching tang hole line up. Tighten down the switch mounting bolts. Verify that the engine starts in PARK and NEUTRAL. Re-adjust if it doesn't.

SOURCE: fuel filter replacement 1993 Cadillac Deville

hello. it should be located under your car on a line that's coming off your fuel tank and yes you can do this your self very easy to do ,you'll need a few box/open ended wrenches that's it you'll need to check the fitting or the nut on each side of the filter to see what the sizes are, befor removing the filter you'll want to take off your gas cap and remove your neg battery cable ,not when you find the filter it'll have nut on each side all you have to do it loosen them but make sure that you don't break the fuel line or kink it and after you have both sides loose then just finish turning them off and there you go the filter is off, nope no removing the gas tank some newer models you do and the filter is attached to your fuel pump and don't need replaced but for your car and year you wont need to remove the tank. good luck

E13-Oxygen sensor voltage stays between 0.307 and 0.609 volts for 64 seconds. Engine was at normal operating temperature at a speed over 800 RPM.
E44-Right oxygen sensor was lean for more than 50 seconds when engine was warm and at 800 RPM or greater.
E52-PCM has lost primary battery power.
E58-Pass Key fuel enable was not correct.
F47-PCM has received bad data from IPC for 3 seconds while engine speed was 500 RPM or more for 3 seconds.
F48-EGR open command was given during off idle operation. EGR opening should cause the mixture to be slightly richer because of the low oxygen content of exhaust gas. Vehicle speed was over 35 MPH and engine was warm.
Good luck and hope this helps, keep me posted be glad to answer any questions you may have.

The first thing you need to do is find someone that is familiar with automotive wiring and get them and a complete wiring diagram together with your Cadillac.

Just put new spark plugs and wires, rotor+cap, new coil, new ignition control module

According to this site:
have code E52 PCM Memory Reset how do do this

99% of the time e52 is just telling you the battery was disconnected in the last X number of starts. It will probably go away after a day or two of ignition cycles. If the battery has been pulled then any other trouble codes would have been cleared and will not come back until they are re-detected, May have to drive it a bit to get any new codes to appear to help trace your problems.

1991 Cadillac won't start, No click from starter, Relays click on and off on passanger side

Check to see if you r battery is too low. They have security systems that protect the battery from reaching levels that will damage it. This will be the problem if you also see the security light flash on the dash and know there has been nothing to trigger it the battery being low will cause this. WebRepcurrentVotenoRatingnoWeight

What are these codes for 92 cadillac deville ff,f40,f,e,e48,e52,ee,888,70?

Hello williamcole7: My name is Roger and I will help you. The code 888 is a test code. This tests the L e d's of the dash cluster. All segments must light so you can read all numbers. The 70 code means the system is ready and able to function. The ff code is a current BCM code and is happening at the moment. The f 40 code is a BCM history code and means it was a stored problem or something that has happened. The f 40 code is for a air mix door problem. THe BCM would set this if you had an A/C problem. The E 48 code deals with the EGR system fault. I would check for a vacuum leak at the EGR solenoid. The hose is prone to deterioration do to heat from the engine. Code E52 deal with loss of voltage. A dead battery or a disconnected battery cable will always set this code. None of these codes will keep the car from running. The repair schematics are to extensive to send in a reply. Should you need further help ao assistance I will be glad to help. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

My code is e52 and f11 what is the problem

E52=memory(history)has been resetmeaning the power to the computer
was disconnected and the driving/engine systems performance history has
been lost.

If they are ONLY displaying as F codes this means that they are HISTORY codes and if they display as FF codes then they are CURRENT codes and what we need to diagnose is ONLY the CURRENT codes.

F11 = AC high side temp circuit problem.

hope this helps good luck
