SOURCE: 1997 Toyota land cruiser prado Rz compass bearing, temperature setting, etc.

I've been resetting pajero's compasses but try to get to an area where you can do 360 degrees turns (empty car parks, ) press the reset button and make 2 complete 360 turns slowly and normally this should set the compass bearing.
Let us know how you get on. Cheers.

SOURCE: Need tire size for 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado

Big tires:

1. Hard time for your drive train (clutch, cv joint, tranny, diff gears) , power steering, brakes
2. Slow acceleration
3. possible fender damage
4. turning radius problem
5. increase body roll and instability
Advantages:
1. good ground clearance
2. softer ride
3. Enhanced off-road ability

tires your planning to buy can fit into your existing rims.
My personal opinion is for you to go for the bigger tires!

SOURCE: need to torque cylinder head on a toyota land

Refer to the diagram and torque bolts in sequence as shown in 3 passes. Bolt thread should be lightly oiled. Bolt holes clean of dirt.

suzman_49.jpg
1st pass : 39 N.m. (29ft lb)
Make a mark on the bolt with white-out/chalk or similar in the forward facing edge of the bolt.(see diagram)

suzman_56.jpg
2nd pass : turn bolt through 90 degrees
3rd pass : turn bolt through a further 90 degrees.
Using a mark on the bolt makes it easier to keep track of where in the sequence you are.

I have a toyota prado and i can"t open all windows from the driver seat only i can open them from the other seats

I learnt something new today.
If you disconnect the battery on a late model Prado, it can cause the power windows
to do strange things. Can't operate passenger window from drivers side, loss of auto up, ect.
After a bit of research, I found this is normal and they need to be reset.
Each window must be wound down and then up at the door control for that door and held
up for 3 seconds. This resets the power window module.
This may have to be repeated at each door a few times.

EGR system malfunction. Check EGR circuit/switches. Check/replace EGR vacuum hoses. Check/replace EGR Vacuum Modulator. Remove and clean EGR valve. Test EGR valve by applying vacuum to open. If necessary, replace.

Power problem

it is a performance problem which is so widely ignored however here is a tip the throttle position sensor is going bad, what i call as a flat spot it takes a 5 - 6 seconds before you can feel the power on acceleration? check the tps switch, mounted on the throttle body secondly make sure if the vehicle has a EGR valve make sure that it does not open on acceleration the best way to test this is to temporarly disconnect the EGR and see if this solves the problem if it does then just replace the EGR control modulator!!
