Question about 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck 2WD
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram Quad cab with about 71000 miles on it. The truck in an auto transmission with the 5.9L motor. Today as I was sitting getting ready to leave, I turned the steering wheel and a popping noise sounded from the drivers side suspension. It makes the noise whether I turn the wheel left or right. Any thoughts??????
Its a lot of times universal joints.. the ball joints break with no warning.

My father had this problem on a car years ago and I have see others have it also . The poping noise is often for a ball joint and then the wheel just falls off. Have the ball joints inspected for excessive wear
