I need Help, When I wiggle the ignition switch 1 out of 100 times the power will flicker on and off just for a sec. then nothing. I think I should remove the steering collum and see if there are any wires lose or need replaced. How do I do this? I have tried to remove the steering collum but it is harder than it looks. Please help.

Have peugeot 807 which sometimes will start no problem other times nothing all lights come on in dash thats it any ideas thinking of replacing battery

From what your describing I say it's probably a bad ignition switch. The electrical portion of the ignition switch is usually made from plastic. Over time (constantly going from off to on (power to the dash lights etc) then to the crank position they will crack and that's why your getting the no start sometimes. Next time it won't start try wiggling the key around a little. But it also could be the starter. First thing you need to determine is if your battery is good ( meaning does it have enough amperage to start the vehicle. If you are able to remove the tops of the battery and check each cell, using a hydrometer will tell you if the specific gravity is good. Sealed batteries can be load tested. You could even have a loose battery terminal end and cleaning the battery posts and inside the terminal ends will do the trick. Good Luck!

Rear parking lights and dashboard don't work

Check your fuses first. Multiple errors like this often indicate a power feed failure from the ignition switch or relay. I would check the wiring to and from the connections on the ignition switch assembly itself. Wiggle the wires around whilst the car is on to see if you get a flicker on the dash board. If so then it is a faulty wiring connection in one of the plugs.

Abs & battery warning lights on and no power steering brake pad wear warning light on for 3days but don't think that's relivant!

If all these lights are on, one common issue for these cars is the ignition switch. Not hard to do. Wiggle the key and see if the lights will flicker or go off. Let me know.

We have a 2002 chevy blaze ls 4 dr. went to store came back . went to go start it wouldnt start listened to the fuel pump no noise then banged on fuel tank it worked but car ran slugish for a sec then...

I don't think fuel is the problem. I have had a similar problem. When I turn my key forward nothing happens....at all! no hazards no lights nothing. then all of a sudden everything works. I think the problem lies in either the ignition switch, or the ignition cylinder (tumbler). I think the pass lock system in the tumbler is causing the problem. Try removing the ignition switch and the putting it back in. This will reset the anti-theft system, and will hopefully fix the problem in the short term.

Engine does not start?

Make sure that the connections at the battery is clean and free of acid built up. Take the terminals of and clean them propperly

It could also be the ignition switch at the wiring end not making proper contact anymore, try and wiggle the ignition wiring if possible and see if there is any change in the status when the ignition is switch on
