Question about 1989 Buick Regal
My 89 buick park avenue with 3800 motor, starts with no problem, but when i put it in drive, the whole car shakes and it cuts off unless i hurry up and give it some gas. wnd when im @ a light, it'll just cut off alltogether and start right back up and i'll have to keep my foot on the gas....WHATS WRONG WITH MY BABY???? :[
Mass air flow meter,.fuel filer clogged bad fuel pump, map sensor vacumn line came off ???

I have the solution to this problem. The firing order is off. I have an 89 Riviera and had the same problem. The placed the wires as shown in the repair manual, but for some reason that manual was wrong. Now the car purrs like a kitten.
Check the firing order. These cars can still run on 5 cylinders, but you will get the problem you have.
Trust me, this is what's wrong!
