Question about 2003 Ford F250 Super Duty Crew Cab
2003 f-250 powerstroke. Sometimes will stall and will not start back. Sometimes takes days to get it to crank again. Changed the cam shaft sensor, no luck. I can hear the fuel pump running and the glow plugs seemed to be working fine. Full of diesel.
Pull the EGR and make sure it's not stuck open. If it is, install a EGR elimination kit. Usually about $150 and requires pulling the intake off. This engine has a real bad rap for head gaskets, and EGR problems. If you pull the engine and install head gasket studs and EGR elimination. then you supposedly have a "bullet proof" 6.0L. but be prepared to dip in your wallet a LOT. Best to sell the thing and get a real diesel CUMMINS.
