Question about Hyundai Motor 1995 Accent
While shifting gears, I felt a thunk going into 4th gear and could not shift out of gear. When I got home I was able to manually manipulate the gear selector on top of the transmission to get it through all the gears. However, whenever the shifter is dropped into a rear-selected gear (2nd, 4th, reverse) the only way to get it out (or into a forward select gear -- 1st, 3rd, 5th) is to use the selector on the top of the transmission. How does one replace this linkage without removing the engine?
