Just changed mine yesterday. If you have the wiring harness out, all you need to do is unplug from harness. The bulb has three prongs. On mine the harness was actually fried and the plastic melted around the prongs. I had to pull and wiggle the bulb to disconnect. bought a new harness for $4 dollars and hooked up.
To get to the bulb you have to get to it from behind the headlight and may either have to remove the air filter cover or alarm horn to get to it. After pushing back the rubber boot, The bulb is clamped in with a spring clamp and you need to push the clamp togeather to disengage the bulb and harness.

Headlights and dash lights work but tail lights dont

Many newer vehicles have separate fuses/relays for separate lighting systems on their vehicles. Check your owners manual for the location of the fuse/ relay panel that controls your tail or rear lights. Presuming your bulbs are not blown, more than likely you will find a bad fuse or relay. Most fuses and relays can be purchased at auto parts retailers and some retailers can show you exactly where they are located in your specific vehicle. If the fuse, relays and bulbs are all good, but the lights still don't work...you probably have a corroded or bad connector in the wiring harness leading to the rear of the vehicle. The later senario is very rare except in instances where the vehicle has had major colision repairs. Good Luck.

How can I take off the tail light assembly to replace the bulb for the left tu

Open the trunk. In the left corner where the lamp assembly is, you should see two screw covers that cover the screws holding in the lamp assembly.

Remove these covers to find the screws, and unscrew them to pull the taillamp assembly out of the vehicle body. Disconnect the lamp wiring harness, turn the bulb socket counterclockwise to pull out the socket, revealing the light bulb. Then pull the bulb right out of the socket and replace it with a new bulb.

Replace the socket, turning it clockwise. Replace the taillight assembly. Check that the taillamp assembly tab, located at the bottom of the taillamp assembly, is aligned to the facia bracket before securing the screws.

Screw the taillamp assembly back into the vehicle body and replace the screw covers. Check to make sure the new bulb works properly.

Your owners manual specifies that the rear left turn lamp is a lamp with bulb number 3057K. You should be able to find them at any automotive store or from your dealer. Hope this helps.

Speed sensor

The step by step procedure is given below

  1. Park your Honda Accord on a level surface, make sure the ignition is off, activate the emergency brake and place blocks behind the back tires for safety. Disconnect the negative battery cable with a terminal puller.
  2. Raise the vehicle on the side of the wheel speed sensor's location. Remove the wheel and tire assemblies.
  3. Disconnect the sensor harness connector. At the connector end, remove the grommets, clips or retainers in order to detach the harness. Take note of where these connect in order to install the new sensor correctly.
  4. Unscrew the speed sensor mounting bolt and remove the sensor from the vehicle.
  5. Obtain the new speed sensor and install it in the differential housing, with the retaining bolt loosely tightened.
  6. Use the white line on the wires as a guide and route the wiring harness without twists or crimps. Then torque the mounting bolt to 7.2 foot pounds (9.8 Nm).
  7. Start at the sensor end and, working your way to the connector end, attach all the clips, retainers and grommets as observed during removal. Connect the sensor wire.
  8. Lower the vehicle safely and reconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to your owner's manual to perform an ABS system check to confirm that you installed the sensor properly.

I can't figure out how to change my bulb on the headlight of my car '01 - E320

On the back of the assembly, there will be a rubber cover with a plastic seal. Twist this counter clockwise to open the cover. Then do the same for the bulb and pull the harness off the bulb

I have a lexus ls400 and my tail lights don't come on. They work when I press the brakes. Is it a fuse or something? I already replaced the bulbs.

  1. I don't have the Year of Your Vehicle Owners Manual will tell You where Fuses are Located, if not I have Resources to Find it for you, need year of Vehicle.
They work when I press the brakes. Is it a fuse or something? I already replaced the bulbs.

Hi I figure You Need to Know That When you press the Brake Pedal Those are the BRAKE LIGHTS that Come on and are A Totally Different Circuit.

Now Off the Cuff I Think its Possible you have, 1 of 2 Causes for this After ruling Out Bad FUSE

  • Headlight switch is Bad because there is a park light lead for Front and another for the Rear Coming out or the Switch.CHECK THIS "AFTER" Rueling OUT Fuse and Cause below.
  • Is A Bad GROUND Connection in the Trunk that Runs From A Connector or Screwed to the Steal of trunk So Fallow the Light Harness FROM Tail Lamps Towards front of trunk Look for A Connector or Ground to BODY in Trunk see if it is Corroded if so Repair With New Eye Connector and Clean to BARE Metal Where its Mounted. IF YOU Find a Harness CONNECTOR Unplug it and inspect it for Corrosion if it is Clean With Electrical Spray Cleaner After this you may need to Plug & unplug a number of time to get a Good Clean Contact then Spray them out again. Plug em together check , If Harness Plugs Were Corroded and still don't work after this Plug is UNREPAIRABLE and must be replaced.
  • I truly Hope this info is of value to you and it Gives you Tail Lights as THATS A TICKIC And I Love Helping folks out.
  • Have A good Day, Rejakwilson

Some times when you get a short circuit. It will burn out a tail light bulb. With the bulb burnt out you don’ have a complete circuit. First, replace you tail light bulbs. If that doesn’t work. Check to see if you have a ground wire come off.
