Power Window Motor Stopped

How the heck do I get the trim panel off to get to it?

Thanks! I was able to get the panel off. Now I'm trying to find a guide to replacing the power window motor. Spent $800 last year on the passeger window and hoping to save a few bucks on the driver's door. With all of the cables, this is not a very intuitive repair!

Sometimes a flatscrewdriver is used ( not recommended) they sell a tool called a panel tool, it lookes like a wide flat screwdriver w\ a 1\2 inch notch in the middle take the tool and slide it between the door and the panel each panel clip should be 4 to 6 inches on the side and along the bottom of your panel the clips fit in the notch of the tool, prize out with little effort until you hear a snap sound. thats just the clip releasing itself from the metal of your door. after all the clips have been released grab the panel on both sides and lift with a side to side motion until clips release (dont forget to remove all screws and handles first) when finished just snap everything back together replace handles and screws and your done

Hi agian: this is realy not a problem, there will be a sheet of clear plastic covering the access holes in the door this is used for keeping the wind from entering the the vehicle. carefully remove this from the adhesive points, you can replace this with some silicone. next look through the hole neer bottom f ront side of door you should see the motor. there will be three small bolts around the geared houseing part of the motor they should be 10mm/ or 11mm. you will need about a 6inch extention for the ratchet and socket. first unplug your wire harness from motor, then remove bolts, the motor should come right out. i cant tell you the cost of the motor, but you can order it from your local auto parts store they might have it in stock. you need to tell them the make /model /and year of your vehicle. just reverse the steps i gave you to re-instal l the motor you should be f ine (p.s dont f orget to roll the window out of your way if need to and replace plastic so no wind gets through
