Question about 2005 Toyota Highlander

Headlite high beams don't work

The high beams on both headlights stopped working simultaneously. What should I do?

I have a 2007 highlander hybrid, and the high beams also both blew simultaneously. I took out the bulb assemblies and inspected and found both bulbs blew in exactly the same way: major heat damage and a large "wart" on the side of each bulb. To top it off, the heat when they blew also caused damage to the plastic headlight lens assembly, which I had to replace for $800!! The dealer only said that they had an "advisory" from Toyota saying that when one high beam fails, the other tends to fail at the same time. Considering both fuses were fine, this is mystery!!

It is rare that the fuses would be the problem, as there are fuses for each hi-beam. I would check the bulbs, first. Remove the bulbs and inspect the filaments, see if the filament is broken. Let me know what you find. Thanks.

Check bulbs first. then fuse and relay. can check for voltage to headlight with high beam selected. If none of the above it just about has to be in the switch

High beam headlights stuck on replaced switch same problem

It can be issue with headlight switch, but as its already been replaced.Try disconnecting high beam headlight wiring from headlight assembly and reconnect direct external wire from headlight switch to headlight assembly, then by switch see if headlight is getting off and turning on or not.

Low beam headlight drivers side don`t work. high beam it works.

Check tour bulbs first and replace if blown. If OK then check wiring backwards from light to dip switch.

Drivers side headlight works only in highbeam while the passenger side light doesnot work at all on my 96 honda odyssey, what seems to be the problem?

I agree, first start with bulbs, and sockets...be sure to clean sockets (corrosion) spray with PB Blaster to clean as necessary...use bulb grease when re-installing...ALSO be sure not to touch finger sweat on bulbs...this always shortens the bulb life...Hope this helps.

Both Low beam headlights aren't working in my 2002

my suggestion is that you check/ replacr the HDM(headlight driver module) relay in the main fuse box located under the hood near the battery.

Low beam head lights not working - The low beams, both stopped working. The high beams work fine. I checked the fuses and all 4 are good. I even swapped the low and high beam fises just in case. No...

if the fuses are good then you need to check for power and ground at the headlight plug that attaches to the headlight bulb if you have a good power and ground there and the connections are good then the bulbs are both no good.or if you can tell the bulbs are burnt out by looking at them then you don`t have to check powers and grounds.you also can directly feed power and ground to the bulb and check both the terminals for high beam and low beam as you cannot tell which is which by looking at the terminals
