Checc your asd relay. Mine was doing same thing and asd relay would open then shut immediately. Turn key to on pos then pull relay when you put it bacc in you will feel it open then close right away. If so your camshaft or crankshaft pos sensors are most likely the issue. Checc fuel line if fuel line shuts down it is your asd I believe most def

This is a bad PCM. Try to disconnect the security system first and if it still does not start then it is the PCM.

SOURCE: 2002 Dodge grand caravan

It would appear that the relay is located on the cross rail that runs across the front of the vehicle (in front of the radiator). I found out that it is riveted in place by a single rivet, so in order to replace mine, I will have to remove the rivet and use a self-tapping screw to secure a new one.
The fan relay is located in the fuse panel located under the hood beside the battery. It will be marked under the lid. Make sure you check the maxi fuse for the fan also.

SOURCE: I have a 1997 Dodge grand caravan. Wipers go on with switch off

It's the body control module. I had the same thing happen with my caravan. It eventually evolved into the following problems no interior lights or chimes, no remote mirrors, dash lights and instrumentation goes out and ABS light comes on, no lighted vanity mirrors, blinking recirc & a/c buttons, no high beams. THe dealer said a BCM would be $700.00 with exchange otherwise w/o exchange 1200. I found one online - ebay. BE CAREFUl...if you don't have security on your vehicle DO NOT buy a unit that has the security feature..your vehicle will not run if you install this. match the part number off of your unit but also match the features.

The wipers quit on the 2006 Chevy Colorado. They are on separate motors. We have replaced both fuses and both relays, and now have replaced the multi-function switch on the steering column

wipers-yvtjdmwsd3lmjasjqz1fi5jn-6-0.jpg My database only shows one wiper motor. Did you check voltage and ground, anywhere? Check the wiper fuse for voltage, hot all the time, use test light. At the wiper motor, dark green wire is voltage for lo speed. The purple wire is voltage for hi speed, Turn on key, turn on wiper switch, probe those two wires for voltage, use a test light. That bottom black wire off wiper motor, in diagram, is ground, check that also. If good voltage and ground with no wiper action, I suspect the wiper motor. There are codes for wiper, manufacturer codes, check for codes. good luck

My 2006 hummer h3 will shut off. It will usually crank after a few minutes windshield wipers will start by themselves then the car wont crank when the wipers go off the car will crank

Your best bet , have a qualified repair shop check it out . The windshield wipers / washer are controlled by the BCM - body control module .

Wiper/Washer System Description
The body control module (BCM) controls wiper motor low speed operation. The washer pump and high speed operation are controlled directly by the wiper/washer switch. The windshield wiper/washer switch supplies voltage on the signal circuits to the BCM for windshield wiper/washer operation. When WASH, MIST, DELAY, LOW, or HIGH is detected, the BCM energizes the wiper micro relay by suppling voltage to the relay coil. This allows battery voltage from the WIPER fuse to flow through the relay switched input then through the contacts and out the relay switched output to the wiper 2 relay switch contacts. Since the wiper 2 relay switch contacts are normally closed to the low speed circuit of the windshield wiper motor, the motor will operate at low speed.
The BCM is the gateway to all the modules on the vehicle , all are connected to a serial data network for sharing info.
Having a factory or some other type of a professional scan tool that can view BCM DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's would be the first thing in the diagnostic procedure . If the BCM or wiper switch is causing a problem - shorted etc... it wont allow the BCM to message other modules , like the anti-theft system or engine computer , so the PCM/ECM - engine computer wont see message for the request for start . You need to know how the start system works also.
Circuit Description
Moving the ignition switch to the START position signals the body control module (BCM) that engine crank has been requested. The BCM verifies that theft is not active and sends a serial data message to the powertrain control module (PCM) requesting engine start. The BCM also energizes the RUN/CRANK RELAY. When the RUN/CRANK RELAY switch side closes, and the vehicle is in Park/Neutral or with the clutch fully depressed, if equipped, supply voltage is applied to the PCM CNTRL relay coil. The PCM verifies the transmission is in Park/Neutral or if the clutch is fully depressed, if equipped. The PCM will then ground the control circuit of the PCM CNTRL relay, closing the switch suppling voltage to the starter solenoid. On some vehicles the starter will continue to crank the engine with the key released until it starts, the crank command has timed out to prevent excessive heat build up in the starter circuitry or the PCM receives an engine run flag.
There is nothing your going to be able to do , nor should you try . So do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop.

My 2007 h3 hummer starts and when i put in gear it dies and the wipers turn on, the wiper wont shut off for several minutes then car restarts after they stop car will restart can take several attempts

Your best bet , take it to a dealer . The wipers are controlled by the BCM - body control module .
The Wiper/Washer System consists of the following components:
• Windshield wiper/washer switch
• Body control module (BCM)
• Wiper micro relay
• Wiper 2 relay
• Wiper diode
• Windshield wiper motor
• Windshield washer pump
• Windshield washer nozzles
• Windshield washer solvent container
• Windshield wiper arm and blade assemblies
• Windshield wiper transmission
• WIP/WASH 10A fuse
• WIPER 25A fuse

Testing for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's should be the first step in diagnostic process . No part store can check code's in BCM.
You have no idea of the complexity of the electronic's on your vehicle.
Moving the ignition switch to the START position signals the body control module (BCM) that engine crank has been requested. 1999 caravan under dash relay clicking

You may want to try pulling connections off BCM (body control module) and cleaning them with contact spray cleaner or similar & re-installing. Sometimes you'll get lucky & this will cure it, without replacing BCM.70846a5.gif

you will need to replace the relay for the fan because it is stuck on. You can look on autozone.com for free online repair guide. It will have the relay location unless you have a repair manual of your own. But it is the relay.

BCM Unit in 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan

The BCM Unit had to re-learn the systems when I put another unit in. The Windshield wipers use to come on whenever they wanted to without touching the button and the air conditioning stopped working all together, but now it works like new. Everything works perfectly but the only draw back is that the odometer jumped from 94,521 miles to 120,000 miles when I installed the new BCM Unit. I know that the miles were lower but I am happy that the van is running great and everything works just as they are suppose to. I believe that the air conditioner unit did not get the right signal from the BCM and so the motor started to smoke. I ran the engine for 10 minutes and it went away. Thanks again for the advice and have a blessed day. TED
