Question about 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I have a 2003 jeep grand cherokee. The driver side window will go down but it will not go up. I tried pulling it up manually, but it will not budge. What may be the problem and what can I do right now?
It could be a couple of things. If the motor has a hard time lowering the window, then it could be the motor. If not, then I'd buy a replacement switch box. You can replace that fairly easily. If that doesn't work, it could be the motor, or the window regulator could be jammed. If the motor hums and tries to move when you press the up button, it could be the regulator( all that other junk in the door that controls the window). In that case, do NOT replace the switch, because the humming you hear means the motor is getting power, and the switch is fine. You could replace the switch or the motor, but I would suggest letting a professional fix the regulator.
