Check the wiring where the wires come from the body to the door. There is a rubber boot covering the wires, and with a little persuasion you can slide it back into the body to reveal the wires. more than likely there is a broken wire there, or you have a faulty switch in the door. good luck!

Montana 2002 driver window stuck

window stuck, this may be due to a bad window motor or window regulator, see if you can move the window by hand, does it go up or down? if it does not then you will still need to remove door panel and look at regulator to see if cables are jammed up, if they are then replace the regulator and motor as one, if cables are good and nothing is broken then test motor for power and ground while operating the switch, this will tell you if it is the switch or motor,

Windows on 2000 pontiac montana wil not go up or down, motors are ok.

If the motor is checked ok, did you checked the window operating switch. In most of the cases the problem is window motor or switch. You'll have to by-pass the window switches completely for a moment to see if the windows operate normally. If the window works , then it is the switch. --------- Thanks.Helpmech.

Po wer window was stuck in the down position. Pulled off door panel and plug had power to the motor for up and down. The GM dealer was out of motors so I went to the local salvage yard. Put used...

well if you have power for up and down at the plug then it isnt a relay or fuse issue or you would have no power, did you just replace the motor only? it might be the regulator also, if it went down and wouldnt go back up then thats probably the issue a failed window regulator and thats the assembly that attaches the window to the motor and allows the motor to move the window

Driver side window moving down on my Pontiac Montana (2004). If I try to move up by power button it goes sideway but If I lift with my hand support then it stays up. After that I never tried to move...

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. I would try calling Autozone or Advanced to see what they say. I am not sure if they have it, but it is worth the try. You can find it over the internet if you wish. If not, I would try finding the part at a junkyard. There, you will be able to get the part you need for a cheap price.

Power window (drivers side) quit working on my 2000 Pontiac Montana. Can't be a fuse issue as the passenger side still works. Any ideas on a fix?

More than likely just a faulty switch. Sometimes you can take them apart and clean them. Or, just go to an auto wrecker and get another one.

Car power window failed - need to get closed

You would have to remove door panel and remove the two nuts fastening the window to the window motor regulator then slide window up and use tape to hold it up until you can get it repaired
