Try checking the cabin air filter, if equiped. It may be clogged making it draw more cold fresh air. Check your owner's manual to see if you have one or not, and it's location.

I have no defrost on my 2001 montana van, works ok on vent, but not as well on heat

Take the cover from under the steering wheel off and look up inside there where the motors and levers are that change the flow of air. I've worked on many of these and they seem to bind up from one position to another. Watch it move as you turn the knob from defrost to vent to floor. It may just need a little lube.

It is 5 below zero here in Minnesota, I went out to start my 2000 Pontiac Montana van and after about 15 min. she overheated as well as no heat in the van. suggestions?

Sounds like maybe the coolant is low or out. thats the first thing to check. If the coolant was full, then the heater would be roasting hot.

99 Montana, Air Compressor compartment???

It's in the manual if you have one. The 12 volt power is for any 12 volt item, the air is to fill tires etc. The van came with a 20 foot hose.
