Unless you have a tank full of water there is no worries. There is no heat plug that prevents freezing because gasoline has a very low freezing point ( like 90 degrees below zero) . So just make sure you dont have water or diluted fuel and dont have any worries about it.

I hit a bump and my 1998 astro van quit running and the gas gauge went way past full and now the fuel pump doesnt run

the ground fell off of the fuel pump or the plug came loose. its between the tank and frame. pull the wires down until u see the connector. unplug clean and plug in. I would check the fuse and relay first. usually there is another relay that is the same as the fuel pump in fuse box. switch them and see if it works

1990 Asrto van blew aECM fuse I replaced the fuse van started but has no power and will not stay running unless gas is pushed

I would suspect the fuel pump is defective. It is located inside the gas tank, the tank must be removed from the truck to replace the pump.

How to change afuel pump on a 1993 Aerostar ford van

put the van up on ramps in the rear, unbolt gas tanks straps, hopefully u take gas out before, take clamps off filler neck and pull big and small hose off let tank down slow and disconnect wiring plug and fuel lines to pump then pull tank out from under van. very carefully unscrew big washer that holds pump in, put in new pump and reassemble the way you took it out, good luck, remember be gentle with fuel lines and wiring

Can I replace a fuel pump in a 2002 toyota sienna? do I need to take it to an expert

Wade, you can do it. just buy a manual for your vehicle. it will give you detailed instructions. Plus you can use it later for other problems that arise. you will have to drop the fuel tank. A novice can do it in about4 or 5 hours on the ground.

1998 windstar sat for 3 months while my sis saved up money for a new starter. I put in a new starter and it spins over great but will not start up. I believe that there is water in the gas tank and it...

IF your problem is water in the gas tank you'll need to buy some gas line anti-freeze, add some gas and get the car into a warm garage to thaw the water in the fuel. The gas line anti-freeze will break up the water and allow the vehicle to start but don't be surprised if it sputters a lot a first and less later. Tip:make sure you buy the right stuff for fuel injected system.
Good luck.

I have a 94 dodge ram van. only when the engine is cold I have this prob. My van doesnt iddle hi for warm up, and it keeps shutting off.

Use higher octane gas for a few tanks, The recent addition of ethanol can lead to moisture build up in your fuel system. Try 89 octane or higher or 5 gallons of premium the fill with regular, and try filling up at night when temperatures are cooler.

Bad gas van wont run

undo fuel pipe where it exits the fuel pressure regulater and turn engine over , use bucket and rag to catch pumped fuel , do this for half gallon and reconnect ,, then take spark plugs out and clean with easy start (eather) and replace , should start fine now ,

'95 Dodge van 318 freeze plugs. Are there any on the front of it?

Most likly place is the bottom of the water pump which happens when the pump is going bad, or a hose. I would look their first. You may have to get it on a hoist or raise it up to look under it and see where it is coming from.
