Question about 1998 Jeep Cherokee
2000 wrangler 4.0 auto jeep started to idle rough and die when turn signals or wipers were turned on. Now it won't turn over, headlights seem bright. Tried jumping and replaced battery no luck.
Check battery first. If battery is good, charge it and your vehicle should start, The symptons your having are indication of a bad charging circuit. When you start it leave the Negative battery loose enough to pull off after it is running, if it continues to run then it was a bad connection somewhere in the circuit or your regualtor, an internal part of the alternator is bad allowing the current to drain in you battery slowly over time when the engine is running. If battery checks good remove alternator and take to an autoparts store and have them check it. Generally most vehicles have a battery or charge light on the dash that will be lit.
