Recently the transmission wouldn't go into gear so i replaced the clutch, pressure plate, slave cylinder, and mastercylinder. now it is difficult to put into frist and reverse gears and tries to pull off when sitting on level ground. shifts into rest of gears fine. i have already replaced transmission also.
What make & year ,some have a cable that stretches adjustment is at pedal, some the floor board flexes 1 1/2 to 2 inches just enough not to let pressure plate fully disengage.
Now assuming all the parts were correctly installed and the proper parts, are you sure the clutch fluid was bled properly? if there is even a bubble of air in there the clutch wont 100% disengage and cause more issues in 1st/rev. Some clutch systems need to be bled in a specific way and may not be as simple as others.

If the car is grinding when going into reverse, you need to have the clutch bled or repaired.
If it goes into reverse with out grinding, I am sorry to tell you your problem is internal to the gearbox. Bad or damaged Syncro
Good luck

poping out of gear is caused by transmission internal wear, it can be the shift rails or other trans parts like bearings and engagement dogs on drums.

It might be switch inside the Transmission, BMW(or a garage with a scanner) can hook it uo to a scanner to check them.
SOURCE: 1994 325 BMW shifting from 1st - 2nd gear is hard
unfortunately yes it does.its sounds like your 2nd gear synchro is out.unfortunately your tranny needs to come out to fix it.does it only between 1-2? or other gears? if all gears your cutch is goin but just between 2 specific gears a synchro times the gear teeth so they lock in and its off and teeth on the gears are the grinding you are hearing.sorry to have to tell yah that one.i always loved my old 325 is model always fun to drive.
