The gear box, don´t walk to the front, only walk in reverse

Check to see if the shift cable free, frist i would disconnect the cable at the trans please make sure you have the wheels chocked up . with the cable disconnected move the shifterif it moves freely go to where you disconnected at the trans and see if you can move the shifter arm if you can the cable has most likley failed. our the shift tube has failed on the columen has failed good luck
