Question about 1989 Peugeot 405
Very easy to do but you have to be careful the disks on these cars wear out very quickly and more often then not need to be replaced, off the top of my head i think the min thickens is 24 mm but play it safe if there is a big lip on the disk get a new one as a under size disk can end up killing you if your not careful.
all you need for the job is a 13 mm spanner and a screw driver.
remove the wheel and place the screw driver into the top off the caliper and pull back this should push rhe pistons back than undo the lower caliper bolt and remove pull out old pads and shims and replace with new ones.
refit new caliper bolt and refit wheel pump break peddle until firm and then check the brake fluid level youmay have to remove some be shore to check the brake operation befor driving any were
