Oil Capacity 1999 Saab 9-5 2.3T 4 cylinder oil capacity?

according to an old Chilton's Repair Manual I have (1969) the refrigerant capacity is 4 1/4 lbs.for the '63-'69 pontiac and the '63-'69 Tempest is 3 3/4 lbs. Since the GTO would be an 8 cylinder I would expect the higher capacity. The oil capacity is 6 qts. plus 1 for a new filter for both the 350 and 400 CID

It has a capacity of 5 quarts of SAE 5W30 oil with filter change. The cooling system capacity is 2 3/4 gallon of a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water. The 40T40E transmission/torque converter holds a total capacity of 12.9 quarts or 6.9 quarts to just drain the pan and replace the fluid.

Most 4 cylinder engines have a capacity of between 4 and 5 liters.
I would put 4 liters in , run the engine for a minute or two , wait a couple more minutes for the oil to drain back down into the oil pan , and then check the dipstick. Vehicle should be on reasonably level ground to get and accurate dipstick reading.

Engine oil capacity is 6.0 liters, (inclusive oil filter).
If the car is 4matic, (4 x 4), then oil capacity is 6.5 liters, (inclusive oil filter).

HI. The capacity for your vehicles will be 4 1/10 Quart. This includes the filter, as well.

if you have a 1ZZ engine

4.2 quarts, 4.4 quarts with oil filter change

if you have the 2ZZ engine (XRS model) it is

4.4 quarts, 4.6 quarts with oil filter change

If your car uses 6.4 of oil to fill it, are you now swimming in oil when you drive it? that is a lot of oil for a car, I can see cars using up to 5 qts, but that is for very large cars, your car is not that big, i would say it is somewhere in your owners manual the ammount of oil required, but if not then call up autozone, pepboys, etc. and they can look it up for you to give you the exact ammount. 6.4 seems like way to much for a car that size. I could see maybe 4.6 qts but should be around 4 qts.

according to my info, a 1996 Cirrus with a I4 2.4L (the eighth digit of your VIN number should be an X) engine carries 5 qts. of oil

4 quarts if you want to make sure put 3 1/2 quarts first then check the oil level with the dipstick. If still a little low then add the rest. It's 4 quarts though for a 2.2 l size engine.
