1994 jeep wrangler fuel injected. when jeeps stops, it cuts off

I have a 1994 jeep wrangler, fuel injected. Happens occasionally. I will be driving the jeep and sitting in a drive thru the jeep cuts off, will not immediately restart. Sit about 10-15 minutes and it restarts. What could be the problem???

excellent! would this occur intermittently? It only seems to happen occasionally when the jeep is stopped or at idle?

I have a very similar problem. 1994 Wrangler, 4.0L. I have a snow plow on the jeep, and when plowing hard for a while it will just quit. When this happens, I've checked the spark and there is none. Fuel and all seem ok. So I let it sit about 15-20 minutes and she fires up and runs great. This has happened about 8 times this year. I've changed cap and rotor and coil, and still have the problem. I'll give the pickup sensor a try.

1993 Jeep Wrangler - Front Axel U joint, why no C clips?

The factory u-joints use plastic injection for retainers so when it comes time to replace the factory u-joint use a torch to heat the u-joint cups and you will see a melted plastic worm come out the side of the drive shaft, now you can drive out the old joint.
The replacement joint will use inner c-clips.

Put the key in the ignition and turn it on and off (3) times without starting the jeep, leaving it in the on position count the (1) flashing indicator Light, Eg: (5) flashes, Then there will be a pause, then it may flash (3) times, this is a code #53. Keep your Eye on them and write them down. If you should miss (1) Repeat as many times as needed, Info: A #55 means there are no codes!!

I have a 88 jeep wrangler. Ok what happed was when i started driving it the other day i heard something break and the motor shut off. After looking under the jeep i saw the rod coming off the throttle...

That rod may have pulled of wire going to starter, or ground strap in that area. No headlights, nothing? Disconnect (+) positive connection at battery for now, and have a look along the path the rod may have taken for a cut or broken wire or strap.

Most likely yes, why remove it, it only pulls about 1-2 HP at wide open throttle.
