Question about 1999 Ford Explorer

I have a 99 Ford Explorer sport two door and everytime it rains hard somehow the water gets into the rear drivers side soaking the floor of the truck. Is this a common problem? Its seems to be, how do I fix it?

I have this problem with my '93 explorerbut the warer comes into the front. I think somewhere there are seals loose along the window or door for you. For me it is the windshield that was poorly sealed.

Wet driver side floor

I used to get water in my trunk when it rained hard. I re-caulked the rear window and it stopped. A water leak has a capillary effect meaning it will follow ridge lines and can appear in unlikely areas after it flows downward. I sometimes get water on my driver side door when I wash the car and spray sideways to rinse. I would check all your rubber seals around the windshields and doors.

There are drains for the sunroof that are located in the coners of the roof, these plug up and the water drains into car, you will need to remove the cover were the seatbelt is and see if the hose that connects to the drain fell off or if drain is plugged, open the roof all the way back and using a bottle filled with water , pour over the drains one at a time and see if it drains if not you will need to use a coat hanger and unplug them but i would still check for the hose off on the side that leaks water. good day.

Sounds like you have a possible hole in your floor, get your vehicle up on a hoist and check for rust and symptoms of holes or cracks. Sounds like your floor is giving out.

2001 Pontiac Sunfire passenger floor is soaking wet after rain.

This is either two things. 1: The air conditioner condenser is leaking and will have to be siliconed, or you have a bead door or other weather stip that is allowing water in.

Rainwater Leak (2001 Stratus SE)

Ok. If you look at the part that the door latches on theres like two screws on it..Loosen those and move that latch in a little bit and re tighten. That will make the door pull closer to the car making it shut tighter. Then get a water hose and sit inside while someone sprayes the top of the car to see if it stops or what else you might have to do.But that shold fix your problem unless you have a sun roof..

Rear floorboard behind driver set wet after rain

do you have a sun roof, if so start there, because there are two hoses at the back corners of the roof pan that allow water to drain, if they leak, they will soak the rear floorboards, and if not that check the door jam seals.(note that if the plugs on the floor are missing that will be verry hard not to have wet carpet)........let me know?

Water is leaking in the back on the drivers side

You may have a bad door seal strip. Check the rubber seal that goes around the door frame on the body and make sure it's first in place correctly, and secondly not torn, ripped or damaged. also make sure your window seals are good too. Good Luck
