Disconnect the two water feed pipes from the inlet ,engine side of the firewall and join together with a piece of copper water pipe

IT WORKS LIKE A LOOP YOUR HEATER CORE ACTS LIKE A U-TURN SO IF GET A U-SHAPE PIPE AND CUT THE HOSE TO FIT IT WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM

Can i by pass the heater core


i`m guessing that you are talking about the heater core blew and you have coolant on the inside of your car.you can bypass the heater core by disconnecting the hoses that connect to the heater core and connecting a hose connector between the two hoses and your done.however if you need heat you won`t have it until the heater core is replaced.

Connect the hoses that go to the firewall-this will bypass the core until you can replace it and can be done with a 5/8" pipe and a couple of clanps.

The heater is blowing cold air


heater control valve not allowing radiator water to flow through the heater core where the heater blower motor blows the heat that radiates off the heater core into the vehicle cheap fix or you can bypass yourself by replacing valve with piece of 3/4 copper pipe and 2 hose clamps

1998 Ford Taurus, heater won't blow hot air through any vent including defrost, coolant level is okay, no heat no matter how long car is run, car doesn't overheat, can't get warm air even if run at air...


common problem is the water resivor cracks up at the bottom... it appears that your water level is fine because the car doesnt over heat but i am willing to bet that resivor doesnt have water to the top. The radiator will hold just enough water to keep it cool. I replaced mine 3 times the sulution is doing to sound weird but go to the junk yard and get one off a murcury sable. dont know why but the sables res doesnt crack like that

you have to take the whole dash out to replace the heater core . you can bypass,just put a pipe coupler in the hoses going to the core.

How long does it takes to replace a heater core in a 1998 cadillac deville


i was surrounded by smoke in the inside of the car while i was driving the car started to overheat and antifreeze poured into the inside passeger side of my car is it the heater core and is it exspensive?

88 Celica has no heat. AC works fine. Any ideas


the a-c and heater run on 2 different systems the heater needs coolant going thru the heater core to make heat by blowing air through it and the a-c uses it's own sealed system to cool the air so if you have no heat / it has nothing to do with the a-c working or not . first thing you do is check the cooling system like rad and coolant levels . you will have heater core hoses running from the engine to the firewall going to the heatercore . grab the heater core hose and feel if it's hot . if your hoses are hot then the heater core is bad or the blending doors are stuck .
