Generating very little heat even with blower on high

I have a 1994 mercury grand marquis and just recently I discovered it is not generating any heat even with my blower on high? I get lukewarm air at best. The cold air seems to be working with my a/c. Do I most likely need a new thermostat and how much do these cost. What is the cost for installation?

It is most likley to be the heater core, try to flush and fill with new anti freeze solution, if you replace thermostrat use lowest rating to open heater faster.

I have poor air circulation for my 2001 Mercury grand marquis. I only get air from one dash vent. the blower goes up and down but even on high it seems like it is medium

well, if nothing was disconnected on the ducts and the selector works fine , my guess will be that you have a nest in the fan it self, take it out and clean the nest so the fan can blow full amount of air. good luck.

This mercury is a 1994 V8 equipped. It sputters and and backfires through the breather like it would if it had a carb. It does this for miles even after prior warm up.

I'm having the same problem it sputters and backfires between 0 and 30 then just kicks in and acts normal recently did tune up. Any suggestions? Mine is a 94 grand marquis with a 4.6l v8

Fan quit on my 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis; even though I still feel heat. Could it be a fuse? If so, how do I change it, what size do I buy?

does high speed work?

I fyes, it is bad resister coils, mounted in plenum case to keep cool.

Usually a bad blower motor will cause the fuses or resister to fail. drawing too much current as it wears out.

Also could be control head for heater system. Electronic digital controls?

Heat worked, then it stop blowing wat to do?

check fuses first. Also look down in the vents to ensure there is not debris blocking the blower,( pens and business cards are the worst.)

Blower fan stops on lower speeds 2000 grand marquis

There is a blower realy. Which steps the voltage up or down. If it fails it will run 12 volts or HIGH speed only... Replace that and your good.

My fan control for A/C and heat

check blower motor resister in plenum housing if this is manual system.
If electronic, check blower motor speed controller.
