Navigation upgrade for 2007 9-3 Aero

Hi. I just bought a factory navigation/radio unit for my 2007 9-3 aero. I elected not to purchase the navigation system at the dealer and would like to install it myself now. It appears to be a simple plug an play. Can anyone tell me what steps I will need to take to disarm the factory antitheft system that is part of the radio? Will I need any special tools to remove the factory radio. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey, if and when you find anything out about your nav system, email me
@ bozo5521@yahoo.com. I purchased a Nav unit last year, and cant find
anyone that will put it in. I have been told it is a matter of a few
programming issues and thats it. I know two people that did it on
2006's, so I dont see what the problem is. Good Luck, and perhaps we
can get someone off of their butts to do the swap! lol...

You will have to have it programmed at a Saab dealer. It wouldn't hurt to remove the old EHU (radio) and see if you have different connectors. Remove the screw covers (4) carefully and remove the screws. Then it will come right out. I think there are different connectors which would mean you are screwed but I am not sure. Make sure you have the Nav. DVD.

My fuel gauge intermittently drops to empty then back up to the appropriate level. This happens mainly after I fuel up and goes on for about a day then seems to work. I have a Saab 9-3 Aero 2007.

2007 gmc yukon navigation problems

Did you ever figure out this problem that you were having? I have an 07 Yukon and it sounds like the navigation is still on too when I shut it off. I haven't had the battery go dead on me yet, but I'm hoping that it doesn't happen too as I just purchased it. Let me know if you found anything out, I would greatly appreciate it!

I need to change factory radio to aftermarket one

this is pretty vague. There are a lot of options out there. A few of the top hits in your search for car audio retailers on your favorite www search engine will set you up with an installation kit and harness so you don't have to cut the factory harness. My favorite starts with the letter C. Their tech department is strong and will support you in your purchase free of charge, Like a CRUTCH.
