Ford fiesta 1.4 tdci master cylinder 05 reg.

I have just had the master cylinder replaced and i am now getting alot of engine noise a sort of pinking noise under acceleration. it seems to be alot worde when cold but the noise was definitely not there before replacement part fitted. i believe it was a genuine ford part fitted.

hi does the rattle go when you press the brake slightly if so the pads are loose in the caliper it is a common fault with that year of fords escorts feistas etc changing the pads usually clear the problem are they geniune pads if not take them back and change them if there geniune then its got to the pads carrier yates210456

dealer only ,pinking is caused by timing being thrown out and its firing too early,by your spelling i asume your in the UK which means that your vehicle hasnt got an OBDII connector ,only fitted to vehicles after 2005 in europe so a cheap scanner wont help .Exactly whats playing up i havent a clue without plugging it in ,if you are in the UK have a middle of scate /chips /and nice big wally for me please

if you have a garage full of repair shop tools and spring compressor, then yes. but i am betting that you don't have all that on hand so most likely for you it is not a DIY job. anything you do on one side, do on the other, you can rent a spring compressor at a parts store. you are going to find that you need to replace the strut and strut bearings too as they are all 12 years old.

the smart thing to do is look around on ebay and elsewhere for what are called "quickstruts" this is a new strut with strut bearing and new coil spring all ready to install as one unit. so you jack the car way up, take off the wheels, loosen the bolts at the top and bottom holding the strut on take it out and discard it and bolt in your new one in the reverse order. then take it to a shop and get it aligned ASAP.
really you should just buy the quickstruts and pay the alignment shop to put them in and align it all at once. you will get in over your head with the control arms and brake calipers flopping around.

Why is there no pulse at injectors on a 05 mondeo tdci


No pulse? Is the engine running? How are you measureing pulse? If the engine is running there is a pulse, if it's not running, there won't be a pulse. If TDCI is correct this is a turbodiesel
Compression Ignition.

Hi! I have a 2007 1.6 tdci ford fiesta it shows me " engin fault, check owner's guide" what can it be?


Hi problems of this nature will require diagnostic equipment for a positive result, this seems to be a engine management problem,check all connections to sensors and switches on and around engine bay.

Ford fiesta clutch


Sounds like the clutch is adjusted so it touches a little... not good.

The sound could also be from a burned out Throw-out Bearing. From the CarTalk web site:



"TOM:
The second most common type of clutch failure is when the throw-out bearing (also called the release bearing) fails. That\'s the bearing that pushes the clutch plates apart when you push in the clutch pedal to change gears."



It makes a roaring sound when you push in the clutch pedal. Silent otherwise. Its a pain to replace, as you have to get the engine and transmission separated. Sometimes you have to pull the engine, sometimes the transmission, sometimes both!

That is why that work on the master cylinder and slave cylinder are so critical, and why proper adjustment is vital.



They will probably charge a lot, but its a lot of work. If they pull the engine or transmission, may as well get a new clutch and certainly a pilot bearing, too.



Then again, you may be lucky and its just a clearance adjustment in the clutch slave cylinder.

I believe your oil pump is not working, Please do not start the car anymore or your engine will suffer severe engine damage, have it towed to your mechanic.

Ford fiesta cuts out!


if it was me i would put in some STP- gas treatment and this helps replace the fuel filter also make sure all of the vaccum lines are good and not off
