2000 pontiac montana - brake lights stay on - all wires disconnected from switches at pedal

Maybe a problem with electrical connector that allows org wire to short to whit wire? The org wire is hot all the time, the whit wire becomes hot and carries voltage for brake lamps when switch is activated. Maybe whit wire is shorted to voltage, somewhere else. If you pull the stop lamp fuse, does it kill the brake lamps?

Which fuse is for the left brake light on 2005 Hyundai Sonata

Labeled STOP, there is only one because both lights come on at the same time. Maybe bad lamp, bad socket or broken wire seperated connector.

My Audi A3 Sport (2007) has a problem with the right turn signal. It blinks maybe once, then the left one will blink a few times, then maybe the right again. It's just random. The left one works fine.

You mean it randomly blinks on either side? If so a shorted relay sounds like the problem. Put the hazard lamps on then off and retry the indicators.

Turn signals went out

replace the fuses first. for turn/hazards.
the HAZ fuse 10 amps ., do hazards fail?????????

old car, very old. 1980 corolla.
first off, the lamps are brass based lamps. 115x lamps
they can short so replace them all or remove all of them
and put only 1 new lamp in (of the 4) if this works, good.
if not use a voltmeter to find the cause.
12v during a flash is good, 0v dead, 6v is shorted wires.
this is easy, dont panic, get the schematic for the car is best way.
The FSM has this but are rare for such and old car.

i looked online , alldata.com
and the schematic is there.
the path is from battery to ground as follows
10a haz fuse and 5am turn fuse. (2 fuse!)
the fuses drives the HAZ module
the HAZ module drives the lamps directly in HAZ mode
in blink mode the HAZ module drives the combo turn switch.
a bad flasher module KILL BOTH, (did it?)
the comb drives left or right side and the lamps are all grounded
completing the path of electrics, and the lamps glow.
current flows, and the lamps glow.

lamps
green-black is left
green-yell is left side.

the best test for this car, is to cycle the HAZ button over and over
until they work, most switches this old. 33 years are dirty and fail.
so cycle it. 10 times, if the HAZ fails.
it must work on HAZ or its all a wasted effort.
because the HAZ module feeds the binkers...

My fog lights and dash lights dont work on my 1999 chrysler sebring

The 15A fuse 5A in the engine compartment relay box supplies power to the foglight relay. When the headlights are on, operating the fog light switch causes the contacts of the foglight relay to close and the fog lights turn on. At the same time, power that flows through 15A fuse 4 in the engine compartment relay box causes the fog light switch indicator to light.

Power for the instrument cluster is obtained through 40A fuse 4 in the engine compartment relay box and is routed through the taillight relay in the box. When the lighting switch is set to TAIL, the relay closes and power is routed through 15A fuse 4 in a fuse box in the ECRB to some of the cluster lamps. Power passes through a rheostat that controls brightness of other cluster lamps. In addition, an illumination module controls the radio dial lamp, the A/C switch lamp, and the cigarette lighter lamp.

I have a 1995 xj6 the right rear blinker is not working and the bulb is fine and has been switched out. This is obvisously a wiring problem that has poped up out of no where and I am not sure what to check...

Next step would be to probe the lamp socket terminals for 12 volts. There may be a bad connection in the lamp holder and you are not getting either a supply voltave to the bulb or an earth. If you dont have a multimeter just look for visual signs of corrosion etc in bulb holder area.

My interior lights will not turn off the dome light and rear bay light

check your door jamb switches to make sure they are shutting off the interior lights. They are part of the door latch.

All models have a lamp switch (13713) located in the driver's door latch that activates the interior lamp when the front door (20124) is opened.
I believe right door has one too, and maybe the hatch latch too

Left front turn sinal lamp burnt out;needs replacing

I believe there is a couple of screws under hood at housing, maybe down the side, and a plug inside fender, in front of wheel that you turn & pull out, to undo fastener at rear of housing, then pull housing right out to change it.
