Water is comeing in and soaking the floor on the right side floor of jeep grand cherokee 1996?

If your windshield is not leaking I would atribut this to a heater core malfunction. Is the "water" actually radiator coolant? Let me know.

What could be the cause of water in the front and rear floor board on the passenger side of 1998 jeep grand cherokee? thanks

Hello
Have you checked the AC evaporator core (located inside the air ducting) condensation drain at the bottom of the heater box to see if it is clogged, it exits under the truck on the passenger side at the bottom of the firewall, you will need to get under the truck to see it, this would be the common reason for the water issue. The next leak area would be the windshield seal, this is much less common..

I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited and we have been experiencing a leak from the evaporator housing on the floor on the passenger side of the vehicle. I have tried blowing air through the 3/4"...

On most cars there is a drain on the driver's or passenger's side near the firewall. I would try to seal the leak where it goes into the passenger compartment witih expanding foam or silicon to see if the water will make its way to the slits in the body where water usually drains.

Has the car ever been sandblasted or painted so that the drains would be plugged up with sediment?

1998 jeep grans cherokee leaking water in the

Hi Vichall,

The first step is to locate the leak and identify the source.

Pull the rug back. Dry the area. This will help locate new moisture.

  • Is the water clear? Does it smell sweet?
  • Does it only leak with the engine running? After Turned off? All the time?
  • Does it only leak with the heater on? A/C on?
  • Is your coolant level down?
  • Is their a time of day it happens more? (Early morning)
Comment back with your findings. We can take it from there

Best regards
Mike

1998 grand cherokee drivers floor keeps getting soaked

first, when I read your post I remembered that if the ac drain hose (small hose stub on the engine side of the firewall, usually on the passenger side) gets plugged this can happen. If that doesnt fix it, get a friend to spray with a hose and start looking for where the water is entering the cabin. Leaks are a real pain to find, even for shops, so don't get discouraged if it takes a while to beat this!
