There is more than likely a piece of rust stuck to one of the front abs wheel speed sensors. this happens during brake service sometimes.

ABS light is on and breaks seem to be locked

I just ran into a similar problem with my vehicle. ABS sensor wires commonly fall into places they should and get rubbed down or fall right off so that could be part of the problem and as far as brakes locking up, the brake caliper has 2 (I believe) pistons that if not lubed during last brake service COULD be causing your problem. I was estimated $1200 at my local Midas I was able to buy brand new rotors, both left and right rear calipers and pads for $320 roughly and it took me 3 hours to do myself with the help of a socket set. Brakes are a relatively easy task to tackle. Good Luck

My 2002 buick rendevouz brake light stays on after i get it upto 30 miles per hour

you will need to change the switch on the brake peddle. sits behind the cover. this can happen in an emergency and you also push peddle to the side wile ding it.

Front passenger brake is pulsing and there is no abs light on in my 1997 pontiac grand prix.I believe it might be abs sensor but don't know where to find it in wheel assembly.

A front brake pulsing with no ABS light is a rotor that is no longer true i.e warped. Pull off the tire and rotate the rotor. Hold a straight edge (ruler) across the outside of the rotor as your rotating the rotor. You will note that it changes distance on the straight edge / ruler as it rotates. (in out wobble) A good way to test for an out of true rotor is to drive at about 45 miles and hour and really stand on the brakes (do not lock them up) If the steering wheel and or brake pedal pulsate... you most likely have a rotor problem. If your rotor has never been "turned" it is probably time to do so.

The ABS sensor is behind the rotor on the lower control arm pointed outward toward the rotor with a flat button face. You can not see the button face with the rotor installed. If the sensor is bad you will have an ABS light. I think your troubleshooting the wrong problem. i.e rotor vs your current focus of the ABS sensor.

I would like some feed back on the running dynamic on the road brake test.

I had my front brakes and rotors replaced about 150 miles ago ...now I notice a squeeking when Im braking ..The abs light goes on and off and when it goes on I feel a little pressure on the brake peddle...

You have an issue with your abs. It could be a wheel sensor failure. The squeaking sounds like a different problem. Some brake pads are metallic and will do this, or something is incorrect during the installation.

Think i need to bleed abs system on ford expoler.

Sounds like the abs master cylinder area is in need of replacement if the abs fuse is removed and stops better.

Chattering can occur in an abs system when the system senses wheel lockup on that wheel and attempts to anti lock that wheel.

Could also be a wheel speed sensor not working, properly.

Hope this helps.

Installing new brake pads on toyota camry solara 2006 front rotors and pads and rear pads. Steering wheel would shake while breaking on 50+ miles per hour speeds. All fixed now.

The brake seems to function by itself whenever i take a cruise

have abs sensor tested -some times if sensor gets corrosion or wiring connection problem-the abs activates in low speed usually under 10 miles an hour

Braking vibration. more severe at higher speeds/

Might want to have the ABS system checked. IF the vibration is also felt through the brake peddle by it surging I would suspect the ABS system is misreading and causing the vibration. Good luck and have a good day.

Or you could just pull the fuse for the abs and not have abs but you won't wreck from pulsating pedal.
