Re: won't start when engine is warmed
Sounds like a starer problem .if you are able to check small wire at starter with a test light to ground look for power on small wire when key is turnded to crank. if you have power the test light will light.if it does check all for cables to be clean and tight. if all good replace starter and solenoind.

If nothing happens when you turn the key, the starter doesn't even try to turn over, then you may have a faulty connection on a wire near the engine that loses connectivity when the insulation is earned up and softened. The connection is reestablished when the wire cools and firms up. You will not be able to visually see the damage as it is covered by insulation. To locate the short, test each wire with an omh meter while the engine is warm. Does the engine warm up and then die while running? Or will it not restart once you kill the ignition while the engine is warm? If it dies while running, then you have a faulty ground wire. Try Replacing the ground wires from the battery to the chassis and the one from the engine to the chassis. Will take about an hour of your time and somewhere around $10. Don't run all your ground from the same connection.
cold weather kills batteries this time of year...heres why..most batteries are a chemical factory..the acid and water separate as the battery discharges..also the chemical process is lessened when the air temps go below freezing by around 50% or more depending on the age of the battery..in extreme cold areas, external heat sources are required to keep engines warm enough to run..in alaska for example,the batteries are taken out entirely and put inside to keep warm..sometimes a fire pit is used to warm the engine from below (red hot coals no flame)..also in very cold weather, the engine oil will get very thick..in some cases the oil will actually glue the engine semi solid..locking it up..if its a cheaper oil that whathappens..I like 20 miles north of st louis in illinois and when it gets below 30 degrees outside i place a under cabinet 350 watt heater(used for keeping food warm to serve) upside down under my engine overnite..this keeps the block warm and the oil thinned out..and works very well for me..my car will start whe no one elses will in my neighborhood..hope tyhis helps you..
As with any no start issue you will need to figure out if you are dealing with a no spark or no fuel problem to proceed. Check the plugs for spark and the fuel pressure the next time it will not start. Could be a faulty relay, ignition module, coil or other electrical component. Let us know what you find.
Is the engine running hot? The cooling fan won't come on unless the engine temperature rises to a point for the sensor to activate the cooling fan. Did this happen also back in warm weather, or has it just started now in the winter?
Chances are it simply hasn't warmed up enough to kick the fan in. It may well be running while you're driving, but you'd never be aware of it.
Sounds like it could be your coolant temperature sender thats faulty.It could be reading the incorrect temperature and sending the wrong signal to the ecu when the engine is warm.Sometimes even having the fault memory read will not show any faults in system.Try changing the sensor[located on the engine near waterhousing on side of head]and see what happens.Good luck.
You have a bad starter. A faulty starter will function when its cold but when it heats up, it takes more energy to get the starter to engage. Your problem is exhibiting the classic symptoms of a bad starter. I hope this solves your problem and the best of luck to you.
