Stalled engine on my 2007 Suzuki XL-7

My car stalled while on the highway in traffic. The lights did not go out but when I went to press on the gas, thee was no power. I had to put the car in park and then turn the key to start the car again. It started immediately. I took it to Suzuki (on my way there the engine light came on briefly and the car felt as if it would stall again, the revs dropped precipitously suddenly, then went back up again) the next day. They were unable to find anything wrong. I did an oil change and hoped that it was a fluke. On my way home frm picking up the kids that they it almost stalled again and then again today as I was on the GWB. Anyone else have this problem. I've had the car since the end of September, 2008. No problems before like this until two days ago.

Maybe the accelerator needs to be reset. My friend had a Nissan Murano which had similar symptoms. His friend from Nissan did a combination of key-starts to reset the computer.

Tighten gas cap message and then check engine light on 2008 suzuki xl7

there is a DTC error stored, in the ECU. (scan tools show this)
there is a car puter, error, message that really means
the gas tank is not holding air pressure.."EVAP sys"
and 99% of the time, that is "a loose gas cap"
it can take many driving cycle to clear this code.
or 1second with any scan tool, even a $30 tool.

2007 Suzuki XL7 Runs great but has a Gas smell when parked, no Engine lights or codes just a gas smell , new gas cap too?

A mechanic would check the vapor canister to see if it is full of liquid gasoline. If it is, you would need to replace it and find out if the EVAP system is working correctly. It should only have fumes in it from the tank.

I have suzuki XL 7 2005 67mile egine light is on

In order to see why the light is on you will need to have the computer scanned for the codes, there are many auto part stores that will scan it for free, a common reason also could be the gas cap is not on tight, if thats the case then tighten or install gas cap and drive may take a week of driving for light to go off.

Change engine oil soon light

I had the same problem what worked for me was to turn the key to run (without starting engine) go to the oil life screen and then press and hold the check mark button for several seconds. The oil life went back to 100 % instantly.

Stalls when stopping & decelerating

It sounds like the TPS throttle position sensor isn't working correctly. You need to find out what your fuel pressure is. If it's below specs., a new fuel pump will be needed.
