turning over is considered to be engine turning when key is turned to start. Starting is entirely different... that's when it starts and runs Even if for a short time. Now... is it not turning over or not starting?

Your battery is probably bad as the two hardest things on batteries is hot & cold. Your starter uses amperage not voltage. If the amerage in your battery is low then it will not turn the starter.

Car overheats

There could be many causes for a small leak, including foreign debris, small crack or loose hose. Using just water with no antifreeze can damage your radiator in sub 32 temps so always mix with coolant/antifreeze. One temp solution is buying stop leak from a auto part store, another remedy I've heard work is putting black pepper (finely ground) in your system to stop small leaks and it actually works. Good luck.

My 1996 continental has been sitting for about a year and now wont start. How do I reset the computer system to get the electronic fuel pumps to working? We are obviously not getting fuel to the car

The fuel pump passed. It developed corrosion and went out.You may be able to revive it by having some one hit the gas tank as they crank the engine.

It snowed, and was freezing outside.Tried starting my car (1993 Olds Cutlass Ciera) 2 days in a row,..but nothing. Got a new battery last night, because I ran the old one down trying to start it. The car...

Hello, My Mom lives in Latrobe, anyways, yes there is a fuse to the fuel pump. and as cold as it's been you could just have frozen fuel lines, you can check the fuse but will require a fuel pressure test, you need about 35 psi to the injectors, do you have access to a heated garage ?

Car ran fine last night. but today it turns over but wont crank. sounds like no fire or fuel. its not even trying to start. any suggestions?

If you live in a cold climate your gas line may be frozen or you may have water in your gas adding gas line antifreeze may help.

A few Problems: Starting, Heater & Radio

Problem 1: buy a system heater to keep the engine warm at night.
You can buy them at any autoparts store . You take your pick from the variety.
Place a light 100 Watt Bulb near the battery but not too close to anything else where it might burn anything.

Problem 2. Check your coolant level to see if you have the proper level. Make sure you have 1/2 antifreeze and 1/2 water if you add any coolant /antifreeze and bleed the colant system. By running the car let it cool, then turn the radiator cap or turn the bleed screw provided on some cars near the thermostat outlet. Then adding some more water and coolant etc.The tightening the cap or bleed screw. When radiator is full. Check the radiator and and remove any debris that may be keeping the air out.

Problem 3. Will get fixed because your battery won't die.
